Juhi Chawla born in Ludhiana, Punjab, is the daughter of Punjabi father Dr. S. Chawla and Gujarati mother, Mona. Her mother passed away in 1998 in a car accident. She has a younger brother named Sanjeev. She did her bachelors from Sydenham College, Mumbai. She was the winner of Miss India title in 1984. She contested for Miss Universe contest in 1984 where she won Best Costume Award. Her debut film was Sultanat in 1986. Juhi Chawla is married to industrialist Jai Mehta. the couple have two children, a girl named Jhanvi, born February 21, 2001 and son named Arjun, born July 21, 2003.
