Rani sets up her own gym at home taking a cue and common trainer,Satyajit Chaurasia, of friend Aamir Khan. Rani was seen filiming in Amritsar for Yashraj Films' untitled flick. Dressed in bright colored salwar kameezwith dupatta, she seems to have lost some weight. (Sep 16) Rani recently moved from her Yari Road apartment into her new bungalow at Juhu, which has been done up by Twinkle Khanna. The staff at her house wears uniforms mongramed with her initials RM.

Rani Mukerji's father Ram Mukherjee is a retired director and one of the founders of Filmalaya Studios while her mother Krishna was a playback singer. Her brother Raja Mukherjee is a film producer, now turned director. Her maternal aunt, Debashree Roy, is a national award-winning Bengali film actress and her cousin, Kajol, is a popular Bollywood actress. Rani, a trained Odissi dancer, studied at Maneckji Cooper High School in Juhu, and later enrolled at Mithibai College in Mumbai. Rani's debut film was Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat (1996). Rani has been romantically linked to many names in the industry, the latest being Aditya Chopra but she has strongly denied all the rumors.
